Believe in Miracles-winner!

I am so excited-just found out my entry above into the Swirlydoos' January Challenge to Scrap your "Moment" of 2011 won ! All the entries were gorgeous-take a peek: Swirlydoo Forum

There is quite a Oprah-worthy story behind this LO-
I call it "Believe in Miracles" because it features my adopted daughter and her biological sister that God placed on the same soccer team this year. What are the odds?

I adopted my daughter from Dept of Social Services.
We knew she had a full biological sister, the age and the first name, just didn't know where she was.
Her father took her to soccer practice-first one of new season, new team
and she called to tell me
"My sister is on my team, Mommy! I just know it's her!"
When I saw this little girl, Lexi, there was no doubt in my mind either.
They became friends instantly [because they were so much alike ]
She was also adopted and lived the next town over.
Her mom and I traded stories and confirmed the truth.
We prayed for God to guide everyone and shortly we got the phone call when my daughter could shout, "She knows! She knows!"
After 3 big brothers, she finally has her beloved big sister-
they also have the same birthday-just 1 year apart!

I took this pic the morning before they played the first game knowing they were actual sisters.
Along with the obvious glow of happiness about them,
I was amazed at how they inadvertently made the shape of a heart...love these girlies
I had to convert the pic to B &W because the team's colors were traffic cone orange and black and that just wasn't gonna work for me.
Thanks for peeking !
