Stuck on U Sketch reveal !

Happy Friday!
It's another reveal day at SOUS !
First go check out the newest sketch by our own talented Leah Schaeffer..
Here's my take on the sketch:

This is a self portrait taken by one
 of the children my son worked with during his mission trip to Haiti.
 I encorporated words reportedly found on Mother Theresa's wall.
 I treated the Dusty Attic frame and
Kaisercraft watch fob with Rub n Buff in Antique Gold and Patina,
 then randomly added pearl dots.
The cross was a thrift store find that has been in my hoard for a while and it just fit perfectly with my theme and these gorgeous BoBunny Marketplace papers.

The entire poem is as follows:

Mother Teresa's Anyway Poem

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis,
it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

So, now it's your turn and can't wait to see what you create!

Oh my goodness...oh my oh my....this boy is stunning. He took my breath away when I saw this and the fact its a self portrait is really so much cooler to me! Our church service today was super powerful and they talked about missions today and just makes me think of how incredible (inside and out) people are because God made them so...
And I"m so far off of commenting on the page itself so let me rein myself in...haha...
Ok, the page..well it is a serious work of art! The warmth and detail, the texture...it is beyond amazing and something you ought to be super proud of!

Hope you had a great weekend! Hugs, Leah

How powerful is this photograph Tracey! You have showcased it perfectly. This truly is a work of art. Your treatment of the DA frame is awesome and all the trinkets and distressing are perfect, as are the papers. The verse is so perfect, and I too will be keeping that as daily inspiration - thank you.... Hugs xx
