Round Robin Time at Swirlydoos!

It's been a while since I have played in the monthly Round Robin over at Swirlydoos! Every month Peggy graciously hosts, posts and supports the talented Swirly girls. See the current one here. I was lucky enough to follow a gorgeous page by Donna and created this:

The twist for the this month's Round Robin is something warm and what's warmer than a beautiful day at the beach? The pic is one of my faves of little Vivien running down the beach. I can see her little toddler self running and laughing at the sand squishing between her toes!

Here are some close-ups:

The colors and background of misted texture paste was directly inspired by Donna's background. I have had this Scrap FX chippie for ages and it seemed so right for this page.

First, I painted the whole chippie with Texturez paint in "Artie Choked",then highlighted all over with Silk paint in "Azurite". I added Ranger crackle medium to the circles to make them look like sea-glass.finally I rubbed Distress Stickles along the edges to make it sandy.
Thanks for taking the time to visit today and stop by the Swirlydoos forum to check out their other challenges!

What a fab page … and you're right, that photo of the beach just warms my heart! Surely, Summer will eventually return, right? Great job on the chippy and your flower cluster! Hope you're having a great day!
