Flying Unicorn and Once Upon a Sketch !

Flying Unicorn is the sponsor for the Once upon a Sketch Challenge Blog this month!
Click on the above link to see the sketch and the rules and the DT's take on the sketch.
The theme is Seasons and here is my creation:

This is my daughter,Naomi,in her "Summer Girl" mode.
Everything here was made mostly with the June KOM and other goodies from the

Naomi was born June 21-the first day of Summer,
but her birthdate has greater significance than that.
See, while I was growing impatient,
wanting my completed nursery to be occupied
by the child I was waiting to adopt from Social Services...God had a plan.
I was working as a school nurse at the time and on my first day out of school, I finally recieved the long-awaited call
that there was a newborn baby girl who needed
 "Temporary" placement for 72 hours.
Had she been born earlier, I wouldn't have been able to take her..
.so she came for 72 hours but has been here for 12 years!
To make her birthdate even more special,
we located her biological sister last year
and they found they have the same birthday, just a year apart!

Romans 8:28

King James Version (KJV)
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Tracey, what a beautiful story. Your daughter is beautiful and such a lovely lo to showcase these lovely photos!! Love the combination of the rugged burlap and rope with the elegant flowers and flourishes. It has been great getting to know you as a fellow sister in Christ this week. I'm a new follower. ~ Blessings, Tracey
